Amazing Features of the Goplus Inflatable Stand-Up Paddle Board (iSUP).
Sturdy Construction
When I fully inflated the Goplus iSUP, it felt solid and sturdy. It offered me the much-needed stability I needed for a beginner paddleboarder. I paddled, sunbathed, and did some water yoga without a fuss.
Also, it did not bulge in the middle like an over-inflated mattress. This is due to the drop stitch technology, which keeps the iSUP’s shape intact without causing unsightly bulges in the middle or on the sides.
Its tear-resistant PVC material did not fall apart or come off despite throwing it down a few times. Of course, I stayed clear of sharp objects that could have pierced my newfound inflatable paddleboard.
I cannot verify the UV-resistant qualities of the PVC fabric since I have only used it four times. However, according to Goplus, the PVC material resists the fading effects caused by sunlight over time. This means your SUP’s colors remain bright several months down the line. Only time will tell if this is true.
In wet conditions, slipping off the deck can become the norm. However, the non-slip deck pad ensured I stayed on the Goplus paddle board without much effort.
Performance
My Go plus iSUP measures 11 feet long, 30 inches wide, 6-inches thick. However, you have the choice of taking the 10.5 foot one for this beige color. The mint-green paddleboard has an option selecting the 10-foot or 11-foot long boards.
These lengths fall in the medium category of stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), which offer additional support and balance while on the water. This is why you can use the Goplus inflatable stand-up paddle board for all-around activities, such as fishing, yoga, surfing, paddling, and sunbathing among others.
The 30-inch wide paddleboard provides enough space to stand up, sit, and lie down without feeling cramped for space. Its 6-inch thickness means more volume than a thinner paddleboard, which allows you to carry heavier things. This is probably why the Go plus paddle board allows a weight capacity of 265lbs.
The three fins that feature on the board make gliding and steering a breeze. One of the fins is removable. Attach it for additional balance, control, and to improve surfing speeds. This means you can paddle away in the ocean, on a lake or river without a problem.
Convenient Storage
The paddle board features 4 D-rings at the nose of the board, complete with a bungee cord to help secure any extra supplies while out on your water adventure. I tied up change-over clothes and a snack box using the stretchy bungee cords, and they remained securely positioned until I needed them. I also used them to hold my paddles as I sunbathed on the paddleboard.
The package also has a convenient carry backpack bag to store the rolled-up, deflated paddleboard and the rest of the kit when not in use. It also makes it easy to transport your Goplus paddle board wherever your adventure takes you.
Ease of Usability
The setup of the Goplus paddle board took a few minutes. I simply attached the provided air pump to the air valve and filled the paddleboard with air until it felt solid. The manual hand pump also comes with a handy pressure gauge, so you do not have to eyeball the pressure needed. Deflation using the valve wrench was just as simple as inflating.
Its weight makes for easy movement to and from the water without breaking a sweat. The carry handle in the middle of the paddleboard made it easier for me to haul the board.
The adjustable paddles are an excellent addition to the package. Extending and retracting them was straightforward. They can adjust from 63 inches to 83 inches long to help you paddle your way around with ease.
I did not get a chance to use the repair kit provided. However, it is nice that Go plus includes it in the package.
Safety
The ankle leash attached to a D-ring at the tail of the paddleboard offered safety while in the water. It gave me more confidence because I knew I would not lose sight of the board even if I fell in the water.
